My old ribbons, I can honestly say I grew up in an era where doing good was rewarded. A simple complement to a kid such as “good job” or “you’re doing great” can take a kid a long way. So many kids crave for attention from their parents, teachers ect. that they go out and do stupid things, simply for attention. It shouldn’t be that way. </p> <p>My challenge to you: Next time you see a young person doing a good deed, (it doesn’t matter how small or how big) complement them and remind them to keep up the good work. </p> <p>It truly takes a village to raise a child.
