Cleaning up and look what I find. My old ribbons, I can honestly say I grew up in an era where doing good was rewarded. A simple complement to a kid such as “good job” or “you’re doing great” can take a kid a long way. So many kids crave for attention from their parents, teachers ect. that they go out and do stupid things, simply for attention. It shouldn’t be that way. My challenge to you: Next time you see a young person doing a good deed, (it doesn’t matter how small or how big) complement them and remind them to keep up the good work. It truly takes a village to raise a child.
